Draft: pending legal review

Cookie Policy

Last updated 16 October 2026

This policy covers www.ovviohq.com, the public website for Ovvio. It does not cover the Ovvio application itself, which is a separate, access-controlled product with its own terms.

The short version: this site sets one cookie, and its only job is to remember the privacy choice you make on the banner. We set no analytics cookies and no advertising cookies.

What a cookie is

A cookie is a small text file a website asks your browser to store, so it can recognise something on a later visit. Cookies set by the site you are visiting are called first-party cookies; cookies set by another company are third-party cookies. This site uses one first-party cookie and no third-party cookies.

The cookie we set

NamePurposeDurationType
cc_cookieStores the privacy preferences you select on the cookie banner, so you are not asked again on every page. It holds your choice, not an identifier for you.182 daysStrictly necessary, first-party

This cookie is only written once you make a choice. If you never interact with the banner, nothing is stored.

Cookies we do not set

  • No analytics cookies. We do measure how many people visit, but we do it without cookies. See the next section.
  • No advertising or retargeting cookies. We do not advertise to you elsewhere based on this visit, and we run no ad-network tags.
  • No social media cookies. There are no embedded social widgets, share buttons, or tracking pixels on this site.
  • No session recording. We do not record your screen, your mouse movement, or your keystrokes.

The banner shows a “Marketing” category that is switched off. Nothing uses it today. It exists so that if we ever add a tool that does set such a cookie, your choice is already recorded and respected rather than assumed.

How we count visits without cookies

We use Umami, a privacy-focused analytics tool that we run on our own server rather than handing your visit to a third-party analytics company. It sets no cookies and stores no personal data. It counts pages viewed and reports aggregate figures such as browser, device type, and approximate country.

Because it cannot identify you and stores nothing on your device, it runs for every visitor and has no on/off switch on the banner. It also honours your browser's Do Not Track setting: if you have that enabled, your visit is not counted at all. The Privacy Policy describes exactly what is collected.

What your browser requests from other companies

Nothing. Every file this page needs, including the typeface it is set in, is served from our own domain. Your browser is not asked to contact any other company to display this site, so no third party sees your visit. The Privacy Policy describes what we ourselves receive.

Managing your choice

You can change your preferences at any time using the link, which appears at the bottom of every page. You can also delete cookies directly in your browser settings; removing cc_cookie simply means the banner will ask you again on your next visit.

Blocking this cookie does not break the site. It only means your choice is not remembered between visits.

Changes to this policy

If we add anything that sets a cookie, this page is updated before that change goes live, and the date at the top changes with it.
